Service Description
Full Day Tour Tintagel and St. Nectans Glen Tours begin at 8am and last up to 8 hours Costs: Minimum 4 people £160 per person 5 - 6 people: £150 per person 7 + people: £145 per person - discussed during consult Overview: We meet at 8am in the Abbey car park and take our transport towards Cornwall ( Approx. 1hr 40 mins). Whilst en-route the guide will tantalize your taste buds for all things Merlin, Cornish, and Arthurian. We arrive in Tintagel the legendary birthplace of Arthur Pendragon, where beneath the castle ruins lies Merlin's enchanted Cave. As with all trips with “Walking With Wizards,” the first order of the day is to ask permission to enter, this being done in the Cave that lies under the castle. Afterward, you can stroll through the castle ruins if you wish (Entrance fees not included) or just take in the magical atmosphere of the beach. Back up in the quaint and mystical Cornish town of Tintagel we part take of a spot of lunch (a pasty to us locals). Then on to enter King Arthur's Court, a wonderful building housing the halls of chivalry, capturing the essence of Arthur's brotherhood of the round table. The story of which will be told on site. The vehicles then take us on and a short trip to St. Nectans Glen. St Nectan was a magical shaman and healer, who went on to be called a saint in the eyes of those who had experienced the healing powers he held and those of this amazing place. For me personally this is truly the entrance to the Faerie realm. (Good walking shoes and appropriate clothing for weather conditions are essential. This tour also requires a good deal of walking, therefore one must be in reasonably good shape)
